Two PhD positions available

The Max Planck-Radboud University Center offers opportunities for several graduate students. The two partners of the center are the Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft in Berlin, Germany and the Radboud University in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. The aim of the center is to perform collaborative research and to share expertise in the application of infrared free-electron-lasers (IR-FELs)  in fundamental research. For each project, two graduate student positions are available, one in Berlin and one in Nijmegen. The projects are highly collaborative and frequent exchanges will occur.

For the following projects we are looking for PhD students:

- Dynamics of vibrational energy dissipation in metal cluster complexes (PhD in Nijmegen, PhD in Berlin)

- Prebiotic chemistry at work in space – a joint experimental and theoretical study (No job vacancies).

- Shaken, not stirred: how photons can switch the order in ferroics (No job vacancies)

- Carbocations in organic and astrochemistry: investigation by IR ion spectroscopy (No job vacancies)
